PM Calls on Citizens to Work Together to Maintain Peace

BATTAMBANG: Prime Minister Hun Sen has told citizens to work together to protect the peace and territorial integrity of Cambodia.

Speaking at the distribution of rice seeds and food to 11,528 flood-affected families in Battambang province on Monday morning, 24 October, the Prime Minister said that Cambodia is currently in a period of peace.

"This is a time of peace, [the country] used to be full of war, but now it is full of peace, all across the country," he said. "[People used to] come out at 1 or 2 o'clock and shoot at each other, now no one [shoots each other].

The Prime Minister has called on the people to work together to protect this peace at all costs. To ensure peace, he called on the people to vote for the Cambodian People's Party (CPP).

"The ruling CPP can maintain peace to protect your life," he said.
